Our Story
Built from lived experience — and a lifetime in construction — with a focus on attainable housing.
Why Ultimate Tiny Home Exists
Ultimate Tiny Home began with a simple idea: after a lifetime of building for others, it was time to build something of my own — a legacy with purpose that can help people in a real way.
Growing Up in the “Sugar Shack”
I grew up in the deep woods of Florence, Alabama, in a small place we called the “Sugar Shack.” It was a house without running water, indoor plumbing, or central heat and air. We relied on a fireplace to stay warm and walked a mile just to get water. I was the middle child of seven — two sisters and four brothers.
Building from the Ground Up
Construction has been part of my life since I was twelve. I worked alongside my father and two of my brothers, starting as a painter on luxury homes in Beaumont, Texas. Over the decades, that experience grew into full-scale construction, multifamily development, and superintendent-level field leadership.
Family, Responsibility, and Second Chances
Over the years, life has brought both challenges and blessings. I raised five daughters and one son. When my wife and I married 20 years ago, I also gained a daughter and a son, and together we blended our families and built a home grounded in love, patience, responsibility, and commitment.
From Big Projects to Tiny Homes
With the kids grown and a lifetime of construction behind me, I finally have the opportunity to build something that reflects my own vision — something that brings together where I came from, what I’ve learned, and what I value most.
This isn’t just about building small homes. It’s about giving people a real, attainable place to live — especially those who know what it’s like to struggle.
Looking Ahead
Ultimate Tiny Home is the result of everything I’ve learned: the long days on the job site, the challenges of childhood, the years of raising a family, and the desire to create something meaningful.
This is more than a business to me. It’s personal. And it’s just the beginning.
