Ultimate Tiny Home™ is led by Johnny Burrell, a construction professional with approximately 53 years of experience in the building industry. Over the years, he has worked in various roles, including extensive time as a Lead Superintendent on large multifamily projects. This background provides a deep understanding of real-world construction challenges, scheduling, coordination, and quality control.
The goal of Ultimate Tiny Home™ is to bring that same level of discipline and clarity to owners, investors, and individuals who want to understand the construction process better—especially those interested in tiny homes and small residential projects. We focus on consulting, planning support, and project advisory services that help clients make informed choices and communicate effectively with their licensed contractors, designers, and engineers.
What We Do — And What We Don’t Do
Ultimate Tiny Home™ offers non-contracting services only. We do not sign construction contracts, pull permits, or act as the contractor of record on any project. Instead, we act as a knowledgeable advisor to help you prepare for and navigate the construction process with your chosen licensed contractor.
Any reference to past projects, including multifamily buildings or other developments, is for the sole purpose of describing professional experience. In many cases, these projects were completed while employed by other companies in superintendent or management roles. Ultimate Tiny Home™ does not claim ownership of those projects and does not present them as work contracted through this company.
Consulting & Advisory Services
Ultimate Tiny Home™ provides construction consulting and project advisory services designed to support owners and future tiny-home clients. All services are advisory only. We do not currently perform licensed contracting services, and we do not act as the general contractor on any project.
Pre-Construction Consulting
- Review of conceptual plans and ideas from a constructability perspective.
- Discussion of typical sequences, timelines, and what to expect during construction.
- General guidance on coordinating with designers, engineers, and licensed contractors.
- High-level budget and scope alignment discussions based on industry experience.
Owner’s Representative (Advisory Role)
- Serving as an independent advisor to help owners better understand schedules, scopes, and job-site activities.
- Reviewing progress with the owner and helping them prepare questions for their licensed contractor or design team.
- Providing general feedback on visible quality, coordination, and sequencing from a superintendent’s perspective.
Tiny-Home Planning Support
- Helping clients think through layout, functionality, and practical construction considerations for small homes.
- Offering insights on typical site conditions, access, staging, and utility considerations that owners can discuss with their licensed contractor.
- Providing non-contracting guidance to help align expectations with what is realistic in the field.

Role: Lead Superintendent (Employed by a Third-Party General Contractor)
Oversaw day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and quality control for a multi-story, multi-unit residential building. Responsibilities included schedule management, safety oversight, coordination with city inspectors, and support of project closeout and turnover.
